More about Reiki

Reiki is a form of energy healing that originated in Japan in the early part of the late 19th century. It means "Life Energy" and is practiced by those who have been personally "attuned" to a special kind of universal healing energy frequency that was discovered by Reiki's founding father Dr. Mikao Usui. Once one has been "attuned" by a Reiki Master, the giver has a perpetual flow of the energy emanating primarily from the hands, which are placed and held over the energy centers of the recipient's body. The energy is said to have a healing and harmonizing power that provides benefit to those areas needing it the most. Some people enjoy it simply as means of relaxation and revitalization while others may use it to address specific ailments or energy imbalances.
