Insurance-Based Injury Services (Auto Injury & Workers Compensation)
Does insurance cover massage therapy?
Yes, massage therapy is covered by auto injury insurance (PIP) and workers compensation insurance when prescribed by a doctor. Major medical health insurance does not cover therapeutic massage. We handle all insurance billing and authorization.
What types of insurance do you accept?
We accept auto injury insurance (Personal Injury Protection or PIP) and workers compensation insurance. For federal employees, we work with OWCP (Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs) through the Department of Labor. We do not accept major medical insurance.
How does insurance billing work?
We verify your benefits before your first session. You sign a medical records release form and assignment of benefits form. We bill the insurance company directly after each session. You don’t handle any paperwork or payments.
Do I need a doctor's prescription?
Yes. Insurance requires a prescription from your treating physician. We can guide you through the process of obtaining one, but we cannot get the prescription for you.
What if I don't have a prescription yet?
Contact us for a free claim review. We’ll explain what you need and walk you through the steps to get a prescription from your doctor.
Is there a limit to how many sessions insurance covers?
Coverage varies by policy. Auto injury policies may have benefit limits like $10,000 in total medical expenses. Workers compensation typically doesn’t have session limits. We verify your specific coverage before starting treatment.
Will I have any out-of-pocket costs?
Most out-of-pocket costs are covered when insurance authorizes treatment. We handle billing directly with insurance carriers. For workers compensation, there are no co-pays. For auto injury, coverage depends on your specific policy terms.
Can you provide massage therapy for auto injuries in Florida?
No. Florida law prohibits massage therapy for auto injuries. We provide auto injury massage services in all other states.
Do you accept New York workers compensation claims?
We accept workers compensation claims in New York only for federal employees through OWCP (Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs). We do not accept New York state workers compensation.
What injuries do you treat?
We treat auto accident injuries and workplace injuries when prescribed by a doctor. Common conditions include whiplash, back pain, neck pain, soft tissue injuries, and chronic pain from accidents or workplace incidents.
Do you only massage the injured area?
No. Massage therapists look at the body as a whole. We incorporate treatment of the injured area within a full-body approach. Everything in the body is connected, and overall relaxation supports healing.
Can you treat chronic pain from injuries?
Yes. Patients with chronic conditions can continue treatment for extended periods, sometimes years, as long as insurance authorization continues.
