Massage service offered to employees at their workplace. It involves a massage therapist (or several of them) who brings a specially designed chair to the office and performs a short massage (usually 15-20 minutes) on the employee’s back, neck, shoulders, arms, and head.
The employee remains fully clothed and does not need any special preparation or equipment.
Corporate chair massage has many benefits for both employees and employers, including reduced stress, revealed muscle tension, improved blood circulation, energy boost and risen morale
Auto injury massage therapy
Customized massage treatment that targets the areas affected by a car accident. It can help with whiplash, soft tissue injuries, bruises, internal injuries, and concussion.
Auto injury massage therapy can help reduce inflammation, pain, stiffness, and scar tissue. It can also improve range of motion, healing, and recovery
Workplace injury massage therapy
Massage treatment that addresses the common problems that workers face, such as pain, soreness, posture, and overuse. Workplace injury massage therapy can help ease muscle tension, improve blood flow, enhance lymphatic function, and boost immunity.
It can also help prevent chronic conditions, such as low-back pain, carpal tunnel syndrome, and musculoskeletal disorders

Legislative Upate for in-room hotel and in home massage therapy in Alexandria, VA
Up until Saturday October 19th 2013, in-home massage and independent hotel massage visits were essentially not allowed at all in Alexandria.
But thanks to our owner Dan Melmed and his advocacy, including his appearance before the Mayor and City Councilon 10/19/13, Alexandria has repealed local regulation of massage therapy in the City, leaving that at the State level where they belong!
Read the report in the Alexandria Times in which Mr. Melmed is quoted and credited with spearheading the effort.
Formerly, in order to practice in home massage in Alexandria, VA, a therapist already licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia had to register with the police department’s narcotics/vice division?
And to go to a hotel, a therapist had to obtain a local permit AND also be employed/contracted by a city-licensed massage establishment or be working on behalf of the hotel directly.
In other words, no independent mobile massage therapists were allowed! Thankfully the Council in its wisdom made the right decision and now we’re good to go!
Special thanks to Alexandria City Councilman Justin Wilson for his support in pushing this item through the agenda.
